Manages Members Roles in a Bubble

Manage Member roles in a Bubble is allowed for Bubble "organizer.svg Organizers" or "owner.svg Owners" with an Enterprise license or Business licence.

A Bubble can have one "owner.svg Owner" and multiple "organizer.svgOrganizers". Members promoted to Organizer or Owner will be able, e.g., to start Web Conferences in your absence or invite new participants.

Note: You can promote/demote members even if:
- A web conference has already started in the bubble.
- Members have not yet accepted the invitation to join the bubble.

Promote or Demote Members

Role required :Transfer the ownership of a Bubble require the owner.svgOwner's role in the Bubble. The member receiving the ownership must already have the role of organizer.svgOrganizer.

You can give roles to certain members. These members will then be able to help you manage your Bubble or take over in your absence.  You may promote each bubble member individually, or you may promote all members to organizer at once.

  1. Go to the Bubble for which you want to modify the role of Members.
  2. Click on the button "Conversation information" on the right side of the top banner to display the right panel.
  3. Click on the "Participants" tab to show everyone in the group conversation.
  4. Click on the "rainbow__icons_more_vert.svg More actions" for the member whose role you want to manage.  
  5. Click on the button "promote.svg Promote to Organizer Role," "demote.svg Demote to Member Role," or "promote_owner.svg Give ownership" to modify the roles.

Promote All Current Bubble Members to Organizers

The owner of a bubble can promote easily all current bubble members to organizers at the bubble creation or at any time.

  1. Go to the Bubble for which you want to modify the role of Members.
  2. Click on the button "Conversation information" on the right side of the top banner to display the right panel.
  3. Click on the "Participants" tab to show everyone in the group conversation.
  4. Click on "promote_all.svg Promote all members to the organizer role" on the right side of MEMBERS and press "Promote".
    To demote all organizers to regular members, click on "demote_all.svg Demote all organizers to the member role" on the right side of ORGANIZERS and press "Demote".
  1. Go to the Bubble for which you want to modify the role of Members.
  2. Click on the icon "chat_setting.svg Setting".
  3. Press and hold the member you want to change from the member list.
  4. Select "promote.svg Promote to organizer role".
  5. If you want to change the Organizer member to Owner, press and hold the member again and tap "owner.svg Give the control". To remove the Organizer role, tap "demote.svg Demote to member role".

Promote All Current Bubble Members to Organizers

The owner of a bubble can promote easily all current bubble members to organizers at the bubble creation or at any time.

  1. Go to the Bubble for which you want to modify the role of Members.
  2. Click on the icon "chat_setting.svg Setting".
  3. In the members list, tap 'manage_role.svg Manage roles' and select 'promote_all.svg Promote all members' or 'demote_all.svg Demote all organisers'.

Tips: Get into the habit of systematically designating a Member as an Organizer to avoid blocking the project in your absence.

Bubble Owner's functions:

owner.svg Bubble Owner
The default Owner is the user who created the Bubble. You can then transfer ownership to another organizer (there can be only one Bubble owner).

Basic Member
Members are users who have accepted an invitation to join a Bubble. Members who have not yet accepted the invitation will be identified with the icon pending_invitation.svg.
