Do you want to highlight a certain message in a conversation? You can add markers as "Information" or "Important" in your conversations. Your interlocutors receive such message will be warned with a dedicated notification and will more easily measure the importance of the information transmitted.
Tips: Instant messaging, file sharing, location and youtube video can be marked as information and important.
Pin a Message in a Conversation
In a conversation, you can Pin one or more messages at any time, making them visible at the yop of the conversation window. This is very useful for highlighting a specific point in the conversation to revisit or discuss further.
- You are in a conversation and you want to Pin a message. Open the contextual menu "
Pin" on the right side of the message to pin.
- Confirm.
The message will be pinned for everyone in the conversation.
The message in the conversation is marked as pinned:.
- To view pinned messages, select the Pin icon
- Use the same way to pin other messages.
Note: To unpin a message, use the contextual menu "Unpin" on the right side of the message (marked as pinned
in the conversation) or select the cross
of the pinned message in the view window.
- You are in a conversation and you want to Pin a message. Press and hold the message you want to Pin.
- Tap "
- Confirm.

Settings" on the top bar, then tap "

Send highlighted message
There are two types of markers: " Important" and "
Information".
An "Important" message will notify the recipient(s) with a dedicated alert and sound (during about 3 seconds with a vibration on mobile devices).
- Open a conversation.
- Type your message in the chat bar at the bottom of the screen.
- And click the "
" icon on the left of the text input area.
- Select a message marker from "
Important" and "
Information".
- Send the message by pressing the
icon.
The message is highlighted in the conversation on both your side and the recipient's side.
Note: By default a standard message is sent. You have to select theicon each time you want to highlight a message.

Send Emoticons
Adding emoticons to an instant message enhances emotional expression, clarifies tone, facilitates understanding and promotes a friendly atmosphere in online exchanges.
- Open a conversation.
- Before sending a message, click on the "
" icon on the left side of the chat bar.
- A list of available emoji is listed. Recently used emoticon are displayed above. Select an emoticons to insert into your message, in the list or by using the search interface
. You can insert several emoticons.
- Send the message by pressing the send icon
Send Animated GIFs
Send animated GIFs to illustrate and animate your conversations.
- Open a conversation.
- Select the Gif icon
on the left side of the chat bar.
- A list of available Gif is listed. Select an Gif to insert into your message, in the list or by using the search interface
Note: Be aware that the gif is sent as soon as it is selected.
Note: If you do not see the GIF feature, it may be restricted by your administrator.

Send Code Blocks
Rainbow's team is also thinking about developers and allows you to quickly exchange snippets. The code is highlighted within the conversation and can be easily used by your contacts. Your contact(s) can easily copy it to add it to their own code.
- Open a conversation.
- Select the icon
to the right of the chat bar. And select "
Add code snippets".
- A dialog box will open where you can write or paste the code you want to share.
- Click on the "Attach" button (or "Cancel" to abort) to send the code within the conversation, inside a frame to make it easily recognizable.
Tips: For added efficiency, you can also use the shortcut "/code" directly in the chat area.
